State Legislator Serves 4 Years in Office and Gets a Pension of $8,500 Per Year

The Inquirer has a great article today that tells about the extraordianrily generous pension benefits that Pennsylvania state legislators get. For instance, they include an example of a state legislator who was in office for only two terms (a total of four years) but is entitled to a lifetime pension of $8,500 per month. Let's be clear - no one these days - absolutely no employer in the private sector pays that type of pension anymore for ONLY FOUR YEARS OF SERVICE. Hell their pension benefits are way more generous than the military. And that is not right!!

I will go on record and recommend mandatory term limits for these mediocre slimeballs. I suggest their pension checks should be no more than $100 per month for each year of service. Hell -it's a part-time job with full-time pay. Kudos to the Inquirer for writing the article. Here is the link below.
