Good article in the paper today about the benefits of walking every day combined with walkable communities. I try to walk three miles per day every day. And could not agree more with Thomas Hylton's very well-written piece. Below is the link.
ps- I have found there is one risk to walking. There are a lot of frigging bad drivers who don't pay attention, talk on the phone and ignore the rights of pedestrians.
